About Hailyn
Hailyn Garcia is a dancer and choreographer based in Austin, Texas. She has 23 years of dance training in ballet, modern, contemporary, fusion, jazz, musical theatre, jazz funk, tap, clogging, hip-hop, heels and acro/tumbling, and has been teaching most of those styles for 10 years. Hailyn is currently training with Revision Dance Company while taking other freelance opportunities as they come. She grew up in the competitive world of dance, where she traveled all around the US to train in as many styles as she could, while also learning how to shoot in front of cameras for concept art projects.
Her movement approach is greatly influenced by how the music makes her feel and what it tells her to do, whether that’s her own choreography or something being set on her. She loves a good challenge and strives to constantly evolve in her training and choreography. She was given the opportunity to choreograph her own solo at 12 and hasn’t stopped creating since. Dance is her expression; it’s how she shares with the world.
